GREEN TOWING — UNUSUAL TOWING REQUEST

Everyone who works for Green Towing agrees that we get more than our share of unusual towing requests and oddball roadside assistance calls. Last Sunday night was no exception. This is a true story.
GREEN TOWING: Services, can I help you?
CUSTOMER: Do you do towing to 15 miles away?
GREEN TOWING: Yes, we can tow your vehicle anywhere you want.
CUSTOMER: Well, I can’t find my car keys. I think I dropped them on the ground, and I’ve been looking for about 2 hours.
GREEN TOWING: Sir, did you lock your keys inside your car?
CUSTOMER: I don’t know if the keys are in the car, or under the car, or near the car. I’m afraid that in the morning in the light someone will see my keys near my car, and steal the car. I was wondering if you can come out and tow my car about 15 miles away — it doesn’t matter where. I think if my car is 15 miles away from my keys, I’ll feel better that no one will steal it.
GREEN TOWING: That’s a very good idea, Sir.
CUSTOMER: How much will you charge me for the towing?
GREEN TOWING: For $75 we can send out a guy with a flat bed truck. He will put your car on the truck and drive it anywhere for an additional $7 a mile.
CUSTOMER: $75? I don’t have $75. Do you have anything cheaper?
GREEN TOWING: Yes, for $65 we can send out a guy with a regular tow truck. He lifts up your car then pulls it anywhere you want and that’s $5 a mile.
CUSTOMER: $65? I don’t have $65. Do you have anything for $50?
GREEN TOWING: Yes, for $50 we can send out a guy on a bicycle, and he’ll help you look for your keys.
